Fujimura Family is a Japanese artist duo comprising photographer/artist Dai Fujimura and poet/editor Ajikatan. Working across photography, video, poetry, collage, AI, ceramics, and live performance, their practice is grounded in the belief that living and making are inseparable, treating life itself as an ongoing creative practice.

Their work begins with the intimacy of family, then reaches outward toward the instability of existence, memory, and identity in the contemporary world. By reconstructing photographs taken within daily life, they create visual experiences where reality and the unconscious, documentation and transformation, the physical world and parallel worlds intersect. Their practice questions the boundaries between the digital and the material, the virtual and the real. Rather than presenting finished narratives, their work traces the shifting currents of relationships, emotions, and existence.

Refusing to separate art from living, they approach life itself as a form of expression. Their practice extends beyond the boundaries of photography into an ongoing inquiry into what it means to be human within an ever-changing reality.
